Well I guess some people jumped the gun when it came to the announcement of Kelis' son's birth. I heard that the baby was born on Tuesday, but the baby, named Knight Jones, was actually born that Wednesday. Kelis went through a lot of labor! I've heard conflicting stories....some say 22 hours while others say 31 hours. Whatever the case may be she went through something else to get this baby out.....oh and she had a natural birth! Forget that....gimme some drugs.
Anyhoo, there have also been reports that Nas has been ordered to pay $44,000 a month in child and spousal support and also pay $45,000 for Kelis' legal bills. I do think that it's extremely excessive, but I'm Team Kelis all the way. Nas better pay up! Give her some of that Oochie Wally money....
Word is that Kelis had her son today! Yayy! Anyone who knows me is aware that I am a major Kelis fan. Don't you just love the pic above? This little boy will have one hot mama! But rumor is that Nas was not at the birth at Kelis' request. Hopefully that wasn't the case. I'll keep you updated. Hopefully I'll have a name soon as well.
Okay so I've seen a lot of stuff on the internet about Nas and Kelis' divorce and I haven't really posted anything about it. A lot of people are commenting on who's at fault, who was cheating on who, and if Kelis should get anything. Here's my take on it and note: this is just my opinion....
First off: So yeah I looked at the tape with "Kelis" on it or should I say grainy pics of a clip. Many people say this evidence that Kelis cheated, did Nas grimey, and consequently got what she deserved. I don't see it like that at all. A) Sorry. I'm not convinced that's her. Where's her massive tattoo? B) If the tape was before she got her tattoo then she wasn't even with Nas so it's really of no concern.
Second: I can't say that Kelis didn't cheat. But I wouldn't put it past Nas. Plus Maxwell recently posted pics on his twitter of him and Nas (odd combo right?) kickin it in the islands with a group of females having a grand ol time. Now don't get me wrong, they are separated so he can do as he pleases, but it ain't a good look especially when Kelis is pregnant and there's all this drama going on.
Third: A lot of people think that Kelis should pay her own legal fees and not get spousal support cuz she has her own money. Not sure how I feel about that. I have no idea what is in people's bank accounts but if Nas has her accustomed to a certain lifestyle and she's having his baby then she needs some support. But then again, we know she still making that "Milkshake" money....so I'm undecided on that one.
Fourth: Getting a divorce while pregnant is pretty stressful. There must be some real heavy stuff going on to make them not even want to wait till her pregnancy is over.
But to be honest....I'm gonna wait until the divorce proceedings begin. Then you know all the facts will come out!
Kelis has officially filed for divorce. Her and Nas were one of my favorite couples but there has been rumors of an impending divorce for some time now. They have only been married since 2005. She is 7 months pregnant with a boy. That's sad. I liked them together :(
I wanted to post these cute pregnancy pics of Kelis. She looks great. The top one is a little old I think and I should have posted the bottom one like last week. Her and Nas were shopping at Pottery Barn and adding items to their registry. I won't say much about the outfit. Minus the flip flops, she looks like a hot mama to me.

Normally I could care less about celebrities having babies. But some of my favorite celebrities are expecting! and some are rumored to be expecting.....
- Tisha Campbell-Martin & Duane Martin: she's 2 months along and they already have a son together. They are one of my favorite black Hollywood couples. I love them. I wish people would stop saying that they are getting a divorce. They seem really happy all the time.
- Kimora Lee Simmons (I would have dropped his last name) & Djimon Honsou (Cinque: "Give us free") are expecting their first child really soon. I wonder if it's a boy or a girl...
- Black Eyed Peas member Taboo (the Asian-looking one) is expecting a child with his wife. It's due in late summer.
- Oh lord....Bobby Brown and his girlfriend, Alicia, are expecting. This will be Bobby's fifth child. I still can't get that image of him sleeping on Superhead's couch outta my mind.
- Speaking of Superhead, she kept implying on her blog that she was expecting. Is it Lil' Wayne's, Bow Wow's, Eddie Winslow's? The woman is a perpetual liar, so who knows (or cares).
- Kelis and Nas are expecting their first child together. They got married a little more than a year ago and are reportedly having a son.
- Rumor has it that Tia (or is it Tamara? no it's Tia, lol) Mowry is pregnant. I'm pretty sure she is NOT pregnant. Can a girl gain a couple of pounds without somebody asking if she preggers?
- Nicole Ritchie is pregnant again. What's up with people having babies so close together?
