New Janet Pic

So making my daily rounds of all my favorite blogs I came across this new pic of Janet Jackson (which might be a new promo pic because she is releasing a new album soon). This photo is incredibly strange, yet......I love it! It's hot and extremely different. I'm sure many of you will disagree, but I'm liking this.
UPDATE: Just informed that this is a fake photo of Janet....oh well. Peep the comment section for an explanation.

Janet and JD No More

So after my two week absence from this blog I was contemplating whether I should do a quick run down of all the gossip that I've missed or start fresh and just comment on the stories that are happening from now on. I decided to do the latter; however, I just wanted to let everyone know that Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri are no longer a couple. I mean, to be honest I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did. I never quite saw the connection. But what I find super hilarious is the fact that Jermaine recently got a tattoo of Janet (see below). I thought everyone knows that you should NEVER get a tattoo of a significant others' name or face. If you break up, then you end up lookin like a fool! Case in point....

Justice & Johnny

So I know a lot of people have been talking about how much weight Janet gains when she's not touring. I don't really care, she looks aight to me. BUT she is looking a hot mess right here.
(1) Don't get caught at the burrito joint. Have an assistant handle that.
(2) It's okay to represent your man. But don't do it with a faded So So Def sweatshirt. That's an item of apparel that should only be worn in the house.
(3) Uni-sex sweat pants aren't a great look for females.
(4) Why you look tired? You ain't been doin nothin!
(5) Why are you getting tacos with JOHNNY GILL????!!!!! (a lot of blogs missed him in the background...I'm so observant!)

State of the World

I love music, however, I get a little annoyed with the content, creativity, and message that "artists" put out these days. Yeah "Stanky Legg" is a decent song, but it really isn't talking about anything. I feel like an old person when I say, "Remember when songs used to actually be talking about something?" Take for example, one of my favorite songs "State of the World" by Janet Jackson. It was on her Rhythm Nation album that came out in 1989 and it was actually relevant and trying to convey a message:

Five A.M. rise and shine
To feed the baby before he starts to cry
No rest, no time to play
15, the mother is a runaway
No time for dreams or goals
Pressure is so strong
Her body she has sold so her child can eat
What is happening to this world we live in
In our home and other lands

Drugs and crime spreading on the streets
People can't find enough to eat
Now our kids can't go out and play
That's the state of the world today

Lil' Johnny all alone
His only friend, the doll he carries with him
Goes to school each and every day
To be teased because he has no place to stay
This young and homeless boy feels
his life is worthless
Instead of suicide he cries himself to sleep
And it's happening to this world we live in
There's got to be a better way

Drugs and crime spreading on the streets
People can't find enough to eat
Now our kids can't go out and play
That's the state of the world today

Can't give up hope now
Let's weather the storm together
